Hi I’m Tom Humphries, a commercial photographer with over 15 years’ experience.

Well, that’s the fancy way of putting it. I simply decided 15 years ago that it was time to abandon my career as a chef and do something different. Within a week I’d purchased my first professional camera and booked a one-way ticket to Australia, where I began capturing everything in sight.

Shortly after, I had the privilege of travelling across Asia. My new surroundings provided an abundance of photo-worthy moments. But it wasn’t just about the pretty pictures for me, but rather the faces and stories behind them – one of the main reasons I am still so passionate about photography to this day!

Upon returning to the UK, I thought why not give it a go and develop my skills into a professional career. I took on a photography apprenticeship which gave me great grounding and helped me to build a strong network within the industry. After years of experimenting with all types of photography everything came full circle, when I decided to make food photography one of my specialities.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a diverse range of clientele, from Michelin star restaurants to your local butchers. I value each and every one of my clients and always provide them with invaluable images, that will stand the test of time.
