Hospitality Photography at Washingborough Hall Hotel
As a professional hospitality photographer , I recently spent two days at the beautiful Washingborough Hall Hotel in Lincoln working with Clockwork Marketing on a full commercial photography shoot.
Although this project was based in Lincoln, it reflects the type of work I regularly deliver for hotels, restaurants, and hospitality businesses throughout the West Midlands, creating complete image libraries for websites, online booking platforms, social media, and marketing campaigns.
The brief covered hotel room photography, food photography, interior photography, staff portraits, and lifestyle imagery – everything a hospitality business needs to market itself effectively.
Hotel Photography That Showcases the Full Experience
For this project, the aim was to capture the full guest journey, from arrival to dining and relaxation. Over two days I photographed:
Luxury bedrooms and bathrooms
Reception and public spaces
Restaurant and bar interiors
Styled food and dessert photography
Staff portraits and service in action
This variety is essential for hotels and restaurants across the West Midlands that need consistent, high-quality imagery for multiple platforms.
Professional Lighting for Hospitality Interiors
Hospitality photography demands strong technical control of light. Throughout the shoot I worked with:
Natural daylight for bedrooms and lifestyle scenes
Continuous lighting for interiors and food photography
Off-camera flash to balance mixed lighting
HDR photography for high-contrast interior spaces
From softly lit guest rooms to darker bar environments and carefully styled plates in the restaurant, every scene required a different lighting approach to ensure clean, professional results.
Creating a Consistent Image Library for Hotels and Restaurants
For a hotel like Washingborough Hall, consistency across all photography is vital. The final image set includes:
Interior and architectural photography
Detailed room and bathroom features
Food and drink photography for menus
Bar and cocktail imagery
Natural staff portraits and working scenes
This kind of comprehensive library allows West Midlands hospitality businesses to present a strong and consistent brand online.
Hospitality Photographer Serving the West Midlands
This project highlights exactly what I offer as a hospitality photographer in the West Midlands: the ability to confidently shoot hotels, restaurants, interiors, food, people, and complex lighting environments – often within the same day.
I regularly work with hospitality clients across Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, and the wider West Midlands.
Working with Clockwork Marketing made the shoot efficient and focused, and Washingborough Hall Hotel provided a stunning location and a fantastic team to photograph.
If you are looking for a hospitality photographer in the West Midlands, and need professional hotel photography, restaurant photography, or food photography, I’d love to help.
